Product Description
Hareline Balanced Fly Pins- These pins are 1" in length and have a perfect head for proper bead settling on a Rowley's Balanced Leech or Balanced Minnow. Tying horizontally balanced flies is no more difficult than any other fly pattern. The trick is in getting the fly to hang in the water column in a horizontal manner. The key lies in extending the hook shank and applying a weight in front of the hook to obtain balance. Be sure to slide the narrow taper of the bead toward the pinhead. Trim the pin so it is about 1/8 of an inch shorter than the hook shank. Woolly Bugger and leech patterns featuring long marabou tails use half shank length pins to avoid building up bulk when tying in the tail and body materials. 80 pins.
