SMHAEN Material Guard is a clever fly tying tool designed to hold materials back and out of the working area, giving you both hands free when you need them most.
Its open spring-steel design allows the guard to be placed over the fly even while the tying thread is still attached. It gently holds hair, feathers, flash and other materials away from the hook eye so you can finish the head, add additional materials, whip finish, or apply varnish and UV resin without fighting loose fibers.
